 IPLAYCO Installations – Win Prestigious National Awards

Kate Costin, PPA Association Manager added “Indoor play centres like TimeTwisters are a fantastic way for children to play in a safe and secure environment. The benefits of play in a child’s development both physically, socially and emotionally have been widely proved but unlike other activities, children don’t even realize the benefit to their health. Exercise in disguise is the phrase coined by the PPA to describe this effect.

Louise Smith, Marketing Manager for the Dolphin Shopping Centre, added; “It’s fantastic that one of the Dolphin Shopping Centre’s tenants has been recognised for such wonderful service and facilities with this prestigious national award. International Play Company is excited that Ollie’s Playland has won Silver in the Best New Site category of the first ever Play Providers Association (PPA) ASPIRE (Awards for the Play Industry Recognizing Excellence) Awards barely a year after the play facility was opened in the Dolphin Shopping Centre. Over 100 industry personnel attended the first PPA ASIPRE Awards on Tuesday 23 September at the Ettington Chase Hotel, Stratford, where the very best of indoor play operations in the UK were represented. Despite being just a year old, Ollie’s Playland earned recognition for its outstanding
customer service in the Best New Site category and earned a Silver award while competing against 10 of the country’s leading facilities.

TimeTwisters - Recognized as one of the best in the UK
International Play is also excited about TimeTwisters, based in Edinburgh's Sighthill, was the only Play Centre in Scotland to be included on the shortlist for Best Play Centre under 12,000 sq. ft. and also for Best Food and Beverage. At the inaugural Play Providers Association (PPA) Aspire Awards dinner last week, TimeTwisters received a Bronze award in the food and beverage category. The play centre has been recognized as the best in the UK and has received an award for the quality of its menu from the national body responsible for raising standards in the industry. The unique Ancient Egyptian-themed play centre was set up by parents Andy and Shirley Hixon and installed by International Play Company. Andy said “We are delighted to have been recognized by the PPA for the quality of facility that we have created. From the outset it has been our intention to build a centre that is not only the best locally, but one that set a new standard in the UK as a whole. We see TimeTwisters as a place where families can come and enjoy a healthy day out with lots of exercise for the kids and great food for everyone, so we don't stock lots of sweets, chocolate, crisps and fizzy juice. This is something that the majority of our visitors really appreciate.
